English for Career Development by Mareta Fauziah (Week 2)
After
identifying the job of interest in week 1 material, the next step is to apply
for the position. Many jobs expect to send a resume, or a written description
of qualifications, and work experience. In this second week, I'll study the
steps necessary to produce a professional-looking resume.
A resume is an important document that describes our work experience, education, and skills. 3 (three) reasons we need a great resume:
1. The first is a great resume will get the attention of the employers and show why we are a good match for the job.
2. The second reason we need a great resume is that it communicates our strongest skills and accomplishments to a future employer.
3. The third and most important is gets we an interview.
In make a resume, we must make our resume easy to read. The first thing we can do is make sure that our resume has each of the following key parts:
1. Name and contact details
2. Headline and summary
3. Work experience
4. Education
